In recognition of International Slushpile Awareness Month, this week’s poll focuses on what you think of the Slushpile system. Love it or hate it, trawl it or live in it, it’s as much a part of the publishing industry as paperbacks with the covers ripped off, as alcohol masking the pain of carpal tunnel, as form rejections with the words “not for us” circled in red ink.
Vote in the sidebar. Pick the answer that best reflects your opinion. I need to know how many disaffected Slushdwellers read this blog before PublishAmerica will buy ad space.

Well, the odds-on favorite is still “At least I don’t have to read it.” Someone’s learned from Proverbs 26:11 after all.
Have any slushpile readers contacted you? I think the Rejecter does a pretty good job of describing the grimness of the slushpile.
li, I have a few leads. I’ve interviewed Rejecter before, and I doubt there’s much I could ask about the slushpile that she hasn’t already said.
